Botanical Collector Markers

Engraved botanical collector plant markers — cultivar name, botanical name, source and acquisition year, on tags built for collections where the exact cultivar is the whole point.

A collection is only as good as its records. "Japanese maple" is not the same information as Acer palmatum 'Sango-kaku', and the difference is most of what you paid for and all of what makes the plant worth propagating, trading or writing about later.

These are the markers for people who track provenance: three-line stakes with room for cultivar and source nursery, hanging grafting tags for grafted specimens where the union needs its own label, numbered stakes for a keyed collection, and the acrylic display marquee for specimens you want read rather than just recorded.

The aluminum tags take a QR code, which is the closest thing to unlimited text on a small tag — the marker stays clean and the full record lives behind the scan.

Engraved one at a time in Phoenix, Arizona.
