Fruit Tree Plant Markers
Engraved plant markers for fruit trees and home orchards — variety, rootstock, graft date and harvest window, on tags built to outlast the nursery label they replace.
A fruit tree carries more information than most plants in a yard. The variety on top and the rootstock underneath are two separate decisions, and both of them change how the tree needs to be watered, staked and pruned a decade later. The paper tag it came with will be gone in a season.
For grafted trees and multi-variety family trees, the hanging grafting tags tie onto the limb itself, so each graft keeps its own record up where the union is. For everything else, the three-line stake has room for common name, botanical name, and the detail you'll actually want in year ten — planted date, rootstock, or the June thinning reminder.
Every marker here is engraved rather than printed, so the text can't fade or wash off. I make them one at a time in Phoenix, Arizona.
