Native Plant Markers

Engraved native plant markers and garden labels — species name, botanical name, and provenance, on weatherproof tags for pollinator gardens, restoration plots and native beds.

Native plantings are the hardest gardens to label well. Species that look alike in winter, seedlings that arrive unmarked from a plant sale, and a bed that has to make sense to whoever walks it next season — including the volunteer who wasn't there when it went in.

These markers hold both the common and botanical name, which matters more for natives than almost anything else, since regional species get sold under overlapping common names. The aluminum tags with a QR code option link back to my care guides, so a visitor scanning a marker in a demonstration garden gets the full write-up rather than a name they have to look up later.

I've engraved single stakes for backyard pollinator patches and multi-hundred-tag runs for land trusts and native plant societies. Both get made the same way, by hand in Phoenix, Arizona.
